Rules and Guidelines for the Globe Lanes
Fantasy Nascar League
Team Entries
- PLEASE..... PRINT LEGIBLY. this is one of the biggest issues
with team entries that are turned in (oftentimes causes team names to be entered
incorrectly, makes it difficult for the commissioner to contact the team owner
when discrepancies arise, etc).
- make sure that you provide at either a phone number or LEGIBLE email
address with your team entry (preferably both). if you fail to provide any
means for the commissioner to contact you should a discrepancy arise with either
your team or a driver change you are trying to submit, it could prove
detrimental to your team.
- choose a team name that is unique and will most likely NOT be
copied by someone else. there will be in excess of 500 teams in this
league, so a unique name will ensure that your team is easily identified (not to
mention it eliminates the headache of having to rename your team after it has
been entered due to it being named the same as another team that had been
entered earlier).
- write down your driver picks for each team entry. do not email the
commissioner at a later date to ask him what drivers you have on your team so
that you can request a driver change.
- do not wait until the absolute last minute to turn in your team entries.
it takes over a week to enter in all 500+ team entries, so handing in your team
entries a good week prior to the first race gives the commissioner enough time
to enter a majority of the teams prior to the first race, and facilitates having
the first week's results available in a more timely fashion.
Driver Changes
- ONE driver change per season, regardless what happens.
- the driver change you submit must be for an equal or lesser value driver.
- DON'T FORGET to tell me what team you are requesting the driver change for
(and be sure to use the exact team name, as there might be a team or two whose
names are very nearly the same).
- MAKE CERTAIN that the driver change you are trying to make is LEGIT. if
the commissioner doesn't find out until AFTER the current week's race has begun
that the driver change request you have submitted is illegal, the commissioner
will inform you that you need to make corrections to the driver change you have
requested and the "corrected" request will not be implemented until the
following week's race.
- KEEP TRACK OF YOUR OWN TEAM. make sure that the driver you are trying to
get rid of is actually a member of your team currently, and conversely, that the
driver you are trying to add is not already on your team (this has happened on
occasion).
- specify DRIVER NAMES, NOT CAR NUMBERS when you are requesting your
driver change.
- do NOT wait until the day of the race to submit your driver change.
changes which appear to have been received AFTER the start of the race will not
be put into effect until the following week's race.
- driver changes are only allowed up until the Brickyard race.
